If I'm not there in person, how do I know what I'm feeling or what's working?
Energy is not bound by walls, distance, or geography - it moves through all time, space, and dimensions. Think of how you can feel someone looking at you across a crowded room, or how your body remembers the presence of someone you love even when they are far away. Energy moves in this same way, only deeper. Scientific studies – such as Theda Austin's research on resonance and Dr. Masaru Emoto's work on the memory of water – illustrate what many ancient traditions have always known: energy travels, carries intention, and shapes form. Whether we are connecting by phone, Zoom, or sitting across from one another, field we enter together is alive, real, and unmistakable. Clients often describe sensing the same physical shifts, emotional openings, and intuitive clarity no matter where they are in the world. The work does not weaken with distance – it expands.
What if I want a six-month or one-year mentorship?
Longer-term mentorships are available for those ready to step into sustained transformation. To inquire, please email April directly at april@iamaprilrucker.com.
I'm not sure I feel ready to step into this. Is there anything I can do instead, or in preparation?
Absolutely. Readiness is not a doorway you rush through – it's a path you can walk gently, step-by-step. Begin simply. In the morning, before the day asks anything of you, name five things you are grateful for. Let gratitude become your first breath. Step outside – into the ocean, the mountains, a garden, or even a quiet patch of sky. Sit with your back against a tree and feel its patience. Bring fresh flowers into your home and notice how they quietly alter the air. Start observing yourself with kindness: How am I caring for my body? How am I speaking to my own mind? How am I feeling in this moment? Awareness itself is transformation. There are countless allies along the way: the writings of Martha Beck, the playful wisdom of Abraham Hicks, the second movement of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. You might find resonance in a sound bath, in the rhythm of breathwork, in yoga, or simple daily walks. Even writing down what stirs inside you can bring relief and clarity – turning the whirlwind of thought into something your heart can hold. If now is not your time to step into a session, that's not a wall – it's a season. There are many gentle doors into this work, and each one begins with curiosity. When you are ready, the lantern will still be lit.
Why is April called the Lantern?
The Lantern is not just a name – it is a symbol. A lantern does not pull you forward or demand a path; it simply casts light so you can see what was hidden. It makes the unknown less frightening and the road ahead more visible. April is called The Lantern because she serves as that steady flame – gentle but unyielding, illuminating without overwhelming. Like a lighthouse along a shadowed coast, her presence offers orientation: not telling you where to go, but allowing you to navigate with greater trust. She walks beside you, shining into places you may have forgotten to look, until you begin to recognize your own light reflected back. The Lantern is constancy, warmth, and radiance. It is not the destination – it is the companion flame that makes the journey possible.
